Stuart first started teaching martial arts in a church hall and was frustrated that it lacked the facilities to train properly. WAMA - Weston academy of martial arts was set up and created in 1997 by Stuart to provide a complete fitness and martial arts centre. WAMA quickly developed into a top training facility which had a full-size boxing ring, matted floor, speed balls, pro punch bags and much more. Local martial arts instructors and enthusiasts from many disciplines in the local area quickly became involved by way of renting the facilities as they were frustrated with renting sports halls, church halls and even scout huts to train.

| As the academy became more and more successful Stuart decided to launch a Fitness Academy which incorporated not only martial arts but to cover all areas of fitness and weight training.

| The academy offers a variety of fitness solutions, including;

The Sweat.FA concept is to offer a complete range of fitness solutions; Weight training with free weights and Sportesse weights machines, Cardio machines such as runners, rowers and cross trainers, Fitness classes including Aerobics, circuits, Martial arts and boxing classes all under one roof.
